No. The program is paid for by Medicaid for elders so the client must be 65 or older and the caregiver must live with them.

Does it have to be my mother or father?

No. It does not have to be a relative. Anyone under the same roof qualifies. The only exception is for husband and wife in which case they can not be the direct caregiver for each other.

What are the requirements for the caregiver?
